Rob has been associated with JC Motorcycles since the early seventies when he became the unofficial ‘Saturday Lad’ helping out and cleaning bikes etc. before leaving to serve a City and Guilds technical apprenticeship as a light vehicle mechanic at Hall Green Technical College. He then spent ten years working with his Father in the family business; a very successful manufacturing company based in Tyseley, Birmingham. From 1994 to 2000 he worked for Triumph Motorcycles, Hinckley, attached to the Marketing department. Between 2000 and 2002 he was employed by the RAC Technical department as the motorcycle specialist in a team of only four technical managers serving the whole organisation. In 2002 he became KTMs first Customer Service/Dealer support Manager with KTM UK. Parting company with KTM in 2009 Rob finally returned to JC Motorcycles as the proud new owner in 2010.
“It is my aim to regenerate JC Motorcycles and return the focus of its operations to mainstream motorcycles without sacrificing the service and support that our Scooter customers have enjoyed in recent years. I have a great team supporting me and together I believe that we can breathe fresh life into the business.“
Ryan (hair) Britton
The youngest member of our team and a real find. In an age where most teenagers appear to have no practical skills whatsoever it’s refreshing to meet someone with an instinctive inclination to understand how things work and why they work combined with a natural ability when it comes to mechanics. A self confessed two stroke addict his secret love is Motocross.
Sales and Admin
The newest addition to the JC team, Lisa’s already proving to be a great asset. Her natural enthusiasm is infectious as many customers have already found out. Due to her gentle guidance you’re bound to spot many subtle changes and improvements to our quality of service to JCs over the next few months. Although new to the world of two wheels she’s learning fast. If you’re looking for a new or used bike or scooter or need advice with clothing, she’s the lady to talk to.
MOT and Technical Consultant
Bill has been around the bike world for more years than he would care to admit and has a strong following due to his superb reputation as a mechanic particularly with the Kawasaki brand. Bill’s worked for many of the high profile Motorcycle dealers around Birmingham in his time and now helps us out on occasion, principally on Saturdays when Bill shoulders the bulk of the MOTs and takes time out to give Ryan the benefit of his experience.
Sales / Parts
Although a full time student (Mark’s taking an Engineering degree at Aston University) Mark has become a valued member of the JC team, albeit on a part time basis. His love of classic scooters together with his in depth knowledge of the subject compliments perfectly our already experienced workshop team. Popular with customers, he’s already made his mark here and has often been able to help customers find that elusive part for their Vespa or Lambretta.
